When you are cooped up in an office for eight hours a day it can be very easy to let your body get out of shape. There are a few things that you can do to help keep yourself healthy when you spend your day in the office.Additional information can be found at http://laurajane.wordpress.com/2011/04/16/fabulous-friday/.

First, always avoid starchy, high calorie foods. Because of the fact that you are mostly stationary, you will never burn off the extra calories. Secondly, snack only on low calorie fruits and vegetables for energy. Limit snacking as much as possible but when you do snack make the right choices about what you take in. Third, do not set for more than thirty minutes at a time. get up and move at every chance that you get. Even if that means you stand up and stretch while you are on the phone. This will help keep you limber and keep your blood moving. Next, make the most of your lunch break. It is a great idea to take a brisk ten minute walk or jog on lunch if possible. The last thing that you should do is keep busy whenever you are out of the office. Make the most of the time that you have off in order to compensate for all of the hours that you have to be still at work.
